At Concentre, we are just as passionate about having fun as we are about delivering meaningful results for our clients. Our local model allows us to fully enjoy the cities where we work AND live…that’s right, no more living out of a suitcase Monday through Thursday! Whether attending a sporting event or frequenting a local burger joint, we take work AND fun seriously. So seriously, in fact, that there has been a months-long debate amongst the amateur food critics on the Dallas-based team over the city’s best burger.
We solved this problem in true consulting fashion – through Excel and a PowerPoint presentation. Without going into the full rigor of our model (yes it included a VBA macro!), we are proud to share with you…
The First Annual Concentre Dallas’ Best Burger Joint Rankings
#10: Dugg Burger – This burger joint adds an interesting twist to the typical burger, loading your toppings into a hollowed out portion of the bun. Dallas locals are loving the concept so much, they just opened a second location in Plano.
9540 Garland Rd. #407
Dallas, TX 75218
#9: Twisted Root – With ten locations across Dallas-Fort Worth, we recommend the original in Deep Ellum where you can enjoy your meal on their rooftop patio. They also offer gluten-free buns made fresh from Local Oven.
2615 Commerce St.
Dallas, TX 75226
#8 Five Guys – Our rule was no “fast-food” joints with a drive-thru, so the “fast-casual” Five Guys chain squeezed its way into the running.
13350 Dallas Pkwy (in the Galleria)
Dallas, TX 75240
#7: Village Burger Bar – If you’re craving fries, hands-down this is the place. We recommend the dbl. sweet potato fries.
3699 McKinney Ave. C-325
Dallas, TX 75204
#6: Keller’s Drive-In – This isn’t your average burger joint. In fact, it feels more like time-travel, which makes sense considering the place celebrated their 50th Anniversary just last year.
6537 Northwest Hwy
Dallas, TX 75231
#5: Rodeo Goat – If you couldn’t already tell by the name, Rodeo Goat is a place that welcomes anyone who prefers their burger to be a bit messy.
1926 Market Center Blvd.
Dallas, TX 75207
#4: The Grape – Texas Monthly named it the “Best Burger in Texas” back in 2009, which might be a good thing. Once offered only during Sunday brunch, you can now enjoy it Sunday and Monday.
2808 Greenville Ave.
Dallas, TX 75206
#3: Hopdoddy – Despite it being an Austin transplant, Hopdoddy remains consistent in burger quality across all locations. Don’t forget about the green chili queso fries – you’ll regret everything without it.
3227 McKinney Ave. #102
Dallas, TX 75204
#2: Off-Site Kitchen – Their last location had a lunch line out the door, hardly a place to sit, and closed at 3 p.m. The entire city rejoiced when they announced moving to a larger location and extending their hours to include dinner.
331 Singleton Blvd. #100
Dallas, TX 75212
#1: Maple & Motor – Rumor has it, they might just make the juiciest burgers in all of Texas. The menu might be simple, but what Maple & Motor does best are the American classics: fried baloney sandwich, grilled cheese, BLT, and (of course) the burger. Considering it’s a locally owned Dallas hot spot, we weren’t terribly surprised that Maple & Motor ranked #1 in over half of our voter’s lists. Reviewing their notes on the burger, it appears the general consensus is to add bacon.
4810 Maple Ave.
